Aim Statement / Goal

To increase HIV screening in acute care settings at Mills Memorial Hospital to >50% of individuals admitted to the Medical/Surgical ward by October 2018.

data indicated the ICU/MED/Surg departments showed a significantly higher rate of testing that the ER. Increase in ICU/Med/Surg testing was most significant after education was provided at a Nurse training day. HIV testing presentations to physicians relfected an increase from 5% to 11 % within ICU/Med/Surg
