The Northern Health (NH) Physician Quality Improvement (PQI) program is hosting a Level II Quality Improvement (QI) Fundamentals Workshop. This is a two-day course.

Understand the role of QI in healthcare and key differences between QI, quality assurance (QA) and research
Articulate a well scoped quality problem

Describe tools that can be used in a current state analysis
Generate a Family of Measures and describe how data over time is used in QI
Know how to select a good change idea

Describe enabling factors that make a QI project successful
Recognize the impact of culture on a QI project and how to engage key partners in your work
Learn how to create a compelling case for your QI project
Describe the importance of planning for implementation and sustainment of QI
